An organized, comprehensive approach to evaluating and training ensures the highest quality service and outcome. The following will occur based on the individuals' identified needs:

| Determination of driving needs based on input from the client, the evaluator and other relevant sources. |

| A registered Occupational Therapist provides a thorough clinical evaluation of driving-related skills. Included in the evaluation is the opportunity for actual driving of a vehicle to determine behind-the-wheel skills. If indicated, adaptive equipment (i.e., hand controls, steering devices) may be introduced at this time. |
| |  | On-The-Road Training |
| Based on evaluation results, training may be recommended. A Driver Rehabilitation Specialist will provide instruction for safe and defensive driving skills Adaptive equipment will be used if recommended. |
| |  | Final Evaluation |
| A formal final evaluation of driving skills will be conducted to determine readiness for independent driving following on-the-road training. |
| |  | Equipment Conformance Evaluation |
| If adaptive driving equipment was indicated, a final fitting and operational assessment may be performed.
